As part of the Azalea Regional Library System, the Hancock County Library is able to offer a robust collection of print & digital resources and services.  Patrons with a free library card have access to PINES, Georgia’s “borderless library” system that provides card holders with the ability to obtain books from over 300 library branches and affiliated service outlets across the state. PINES card holders also have free access to GALILEO, an online library portal that offers patrons digital books, media, newspapers, and more. Some popular databases include, eRead Kids, Novelist, Gale Legal Forms Library, MANGO Languages, Job and Career Accelerator, Ancestry Library Edition, Tumble Book Library, Heritage Quest, New Georgia Encyclopedia, and many more. Additionally, patrons may browse eBooks, audio books, and digital magazines for all ages via RBDigital, Freading, or SebcoBooks.

Free park and museum passes are also available for check out, thanks to a partnership with the Georgia Public Library Service (GPLS). More information about all of the partnership offerings, visit their partnerships page.

The Hancock County Library is also home to the first live observation beehive housed within a library in the State of Georgia! This vibrant hive may be viewed during regular business hours and is utilized for educational purposes, to promote the importance of bees in an ecosystem, and to encourage personal beekeeping. The library also provides visitors with access to a butterfly and herb garden. To schedule a tour of the facility, please contact the Library Manager.
