Frances "Frankie" McGrath, a young nursing student, decides to join the Army Nurse Corps and follow her brother to Vietnam. She is unprepared for the harsh realities of war but finds friendship and courage amidst the chaos. After returning home, Frankie must adjust to a changed America and fight for recognition of the sacrifices made by veterans.  The Women is a story about bravery, friendship, and the impact of war on both soldiers and society.

Please join us for story time on Tuesdays! Enjoy songs, age-appropriate (0-5) books, and fun! Caretakers MUST be present.

Patrons of all ages welcome. Join us we examine and explore music and musical instruments from around the world on May 9, 2024 from 4-5pm.
Calling All Nature Explorers!

Join us for a Willy Wonderful Nature Hunt on Saturday, May 11th at 10:30 AM!

This exciting adventure is all about exploring the outdoors and gathering natural treasures. We'll be searching for leaves, twigs, stones, and other bits and bobs to use in creating our very own Willy Nature Craft.

Don't forget to dress for exploration and discovery!

Resource Spotlight

Get connect by checking out a hotspot from any Azalea Library. 

  • Patrons must have a valid PINES library card in good standing in order to check out TLP items. Please make sure you submit your request to reserve a hotspot at least two (2) weeks in advance of the date needed in order to give us time to process and activate the device service. Chromebooks and hotspots are on a first-come basis and quantities are limited.

  • This program is partially assisted with funds from the Library Services and Technology Act through the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
